A post-nuptial agreement is an agreement made after marriage.  Like a pre-nup, a properly prepared post-nup can help provide certainty in the event of a divorce.

There are many reasons why clients want to have a post-nup, often similar to those for pre-nups.  Sometimes the wish for a post-nup is triggered by an inheritance or other reasons of estate planning.

Many of our cases involve trust interests or wider issues of inheritance and estate planning.  We provide you with an holistic service by drawing on the expertise of colleagues in our Trusts, Wills and Estates team, to provide in-house advice about trusts, wills and estate planning, in conjunction with our family law advice.
