Our solicitors are members of the Law Society of England and Wales, which regulates the issue of annual practising certificates to solicitors. This process includes their being satisfied about levels of professional indemnity insurance cover and payment of contributions to the Solicitors Compensation Fund.

In 2000 we became only the 45th firm of solicitors in England and Wales, out of 8000 practices, to be accredited as operating to the Law Society’s, Lexcel, Practice Management Standards. This involves an annual external audit, to ensure that we comply with the high Lexcel standards.
Seven members of our Trusts, Wills & Estates team are members of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
In 2011 we became one of the first firms in England and Wales to become members of the Law Societys Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
Carmelita Ardren is one of the very few Advanced members of the Law Society’s Family Law Specialist Accreditation Scheme in North Yorkshire.
