Disputes come in all sorts of guises in both private and business settings. However, wherever they arise may they are time consuming, stressful, emotionally draining and potentially expensive, and most people want to see them resolved effectively, satisfactorily and as soon as practically possible.
There is no single dispute resolution process that suits all disputes, at one end of the spectrum a round the table meeting may do the job and at the other the only answer may be a court hearing, however many disputes fall between these extremes.
Over recent years a range of dispute resolution techniques have been developed as an alternative or adjunct to traditional litigation and court proceedings, under the banner of “Alternative Dispute Resolution” or ADR, and these include mediation and Collaborative Law.
Raworths has been at the forefront of the use and development of ADR for over fifteen years and has developed a high level of experience and expertise, and these have been brought together in our specialist Mediation/ADR Service.
Raworths’ Mediation/ADR Service provides:
A relatively new process for dealing with family disputes, which encourages settlement while actively discouraging the matter going to court.
This process brings a robust and practical approach to dealing with disputes in the workplace and/or between employers and employees, with the added advantage of minimising damage to often important relationships.
There are times when a situation arises or a project reaches a critical stage when a desired result seems impossible to achieve, but where bringing in a neutral third could help move things on to a satisfactory conclusion. We have experience of this in business, professional and political environments.
These services differ from each other, but they have the common characteristic of offering robust, practical and cost effective ways of resolving disputes or situations which do not involve the protagonists ending up in court.
