Separation from a spouse or partner can be a difficult and stressful process at the best of times. When this is combined with sorting out the division of businesses, property, investments, pensions and other valuable assets there are likely to be complications well beyond the underlying issues of divorce and separation.

Unfortunately money can create and fuel disputes which, if not properly managed, can escalate and cause harm and cost to all involved.  Raworths’ family law team provides sound specialist advice to help you navigate these risks and to help you look after yourself and those around you, including any children.

We aim to take a family-focused approach to the resolution of financial matters on a divorce or separation and try to keep conflict to a minimum. There are a variety of processes that can be used, including lawyer-led negotiation, collaborative law, mediation and arbitration.  We will fight your corner robustly if this becomes necessary and we have considerable experience in managing cases in contested proceedings through the court process, taking steps to protect your position along the way.

Where there are assets and wealth there is very often complexity. We are used to dealing with urban and rural property; agricultural land; trust interests; pensions; businesses; share portfolios; overseas investments and other valuable assets.

Raworths’ family law team are lawyers who are specialists in all aspects of separation whether this is divorce, separation, cohabitation issues.  The team is dedicated to working towards the best outcomes for clients.  We have the added advantage of being surrounded by other specialist teams dealing with Corporate Law, Trusts, Commercial, Residential Property, Agricultural Property, Civil Disputes and Employment Law. This means that whatever happens we can help you reach a fair deal and protect your interests and those of any children.
