Rachel has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with wills, trusts and wider succession issues for individuals and families.  She advises on structures to pass on wealth and businesses in tax efficient and family-appropriate ways.

Rachel acts as a trustee for many private trusts and a small number of charities, and also advises professional and lay trustees on their duties.

Matters Rachel has dealt with include:

  • Variation of Trust Act Applications in the High Court.
  • The negotiation and creation of family charters or constitutions, which can govern how family assets are managed across the generations.
  • Advising on succession planning for business owners wanting to achieve fairness between children who work in the business and children who do not.
  • Working with family investment companies, trusts and LLPs to manage complex assets.
