We are dedicated to corporate social responsibility, focused on giving back to our local community of Harrogate.
We are ambassadors within our community and our staff are active in supporting local initiatives and charities including a Harrogate-based charity, nominated by our people. Our fundraising includes participating in community events and activities throughout the year.
We also recognise the need to look at our environmental footprint with the aim of finding ways to minimise our impact on the local community. By reducing our impact on the environment we encourage and support sustainability. We have recently introduced our Sustainability and Carbon Reduction plan at Raworths which aims to achieve a positive impact on the environment, our people and business.
We are enthusiastic and care about what we do.
Raworths has named Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) as its official 2025/26 charity partner. HHCC provides specialist equipment, training and services to help enhance treatment and facilities for all departments and services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. Raworths’ support coincides with a milestone year for HHCC– which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025.
Previous local community Charity of the Year partners have included, most recently Harrogate District Food Bank, Vision Support Harrogate District and Harrogate Homeless Project.
Raworths has supported Saint Michael’s Hospice for many years and in 2025 we are proud to become a Silver Hospice Care Champion member. This initiative is a community of businesses helping families living with terminal illness and bereavement across the Harrogate district.
By being a Silver Hospice Care Champion, we are supporting Saint Michael’s strategy of service improvement and expansion that aims to offer more care to more people.
For more information about being a Hospice Care Champion or other ways that you can support our local hospice charity, visit the Saint Michael’s Hospice website.
In its 100th year (2025), Yorkshire Cancer Research is holding a special centenary gala dinner at Castle Howard on 27 September to raise vital funds for pioneering cancer research in Yorkshire. Hosted by the Hon. Nicholas and Victoria Howard in the stunning surrounds of Castle Howard, ‘A Night Like No Other’ is a celebration of the people in Yorkshire who, for 100 years, have united to bring life-saving breakthroughs, discoveries and progress in cancer research to the region.
We are proud to be one of the sponsors of this very special event and more information can be found on Yorkshire Cancer Research’s website.
This pageant of decorated beds, passengers and runners, combined with a gruelling course of 2.4 miles, is organised by volunteers from the Knaresborough Lions to raise funds to meet local charitable and community needs. A team from Raworths has competed many times, most recently in June 2024, and the event brings together colleagues to design, create and compete in the race.
