Raworths Trust Team Makes New Appointment

The Harrogate law firm, Raworths has added another solicitor to the Trusts, Wills and Probate team under the leadership of new partner, Rachel Tunnicliffe with the appointment of lawyer Sam Jenner. Sam has previously worked with Rachel Tunnicliffe and he now joins from the nationally-recognised Leeds law firm, Gordons.

Sam is originally from Essex and studied Environmental Management at the University of Leeds before taking a law conversion course. His first appointment was at national firm Lyons Davidson based in Leeds where he worked on uninsured loss recovery for insurance companies before joining Gordons as a trainee solicitor in 2009.

His training contract at Gordons included six months’ experience in family, commercial property, corporate and personal law which he then chose to pursue as a career upon qualification. He has wide-ranging experience in probate and trust work and advising high net worth individuals on estate planning. He has also advised on mental capacity issues including deputyship orders and lasting powers of attorney. He is currently studying for his Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner qualification which will bring the number of STEP-qualified lawyers at Raworths to five.

“Raworths has an excellent reputation in the area of personal law and this is a great opportunity for me to work with both clients and other lawyers at the highest level,” says Sam.

Rachel Tunnicliffe, partner and new head of Trusts, Wills and Estates says, “I have worked with Sam for some time and he has already proved himself an excellent addition to the Trusts team.”
