Raworths has extended its partnership with the Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP) for another year following a busy year of fundraising for the local homeless charity.
Staff have participated in a number of fun and challenging events during 2018 and the shared commitment to the cause has led to the decision to extend the partnership for another year, building on the existing momentum.
Zoe Robinson, Managing Partner at Raworths said: “The staff have really embraced the fundraising for the Harrogate Homeless Project and it is a cause that resonates with everyone. Being a local organisation we have built a positive and close relationship with the charity, which we would like to take forward for another year – building on the momentum we have already achieved.”
Fundraising highlights for 2018 have included enthusiastic team participation in the York Relay Marathon and the Harrogate 10K, an Easter Egg Hunt, a styling event held with local fashion expert Violet and a sponsored walk. Staff also volunteered their time to sell programmes and raffle tickets at Harrogate Symphony Orchestra concerts.
Rounding the year off, a Christmas tombola will take place for staff to participate in and the decision has also been made to replace Christmas cards and gifts with a donation to HHP.
Zoe continued: “We wish to extend our very best festive wishes to our clients and partners this year, however in the spirit of giving we felt it was appropriate and right to redirect the funds by making a donation to our charity partner, especially during the cold winter months when the conditions experienced by homeless people become even more difficult.”
