Raworths appoints new leadership for Corporate team following period of growth

Raworths has announced new leadership for its Corporate team following a sustained period of growth and client wins. The promotion is the fifth senior appointment to be made by the law firm since the beginning of the year.

Jon Healey has been promoted to Head of Corporate and will continue to develop the practice and client base of the Corporate team. Simon Morris will continue in his role as Head of Commercial with a more strategic, overarching remit to represent commercial clients’ interests across the business and ensure the seamless delivery of service.

Jon’s appointment has been made to provide dedicated leadership for the Corporate team, which has grown to comprise six fee earners. The scope and quality of work undertaken by the team has also continued to increase, with several international clients appointing Raworths to advise on transactions over the last year, in addition to its well established client base.

Simon Morris said: “Jon’s appointment 18 months ago was made to grow and extend the team’s capabilities, particularly when handling complex and private equity backed transactions. He came to us with strong credentials and has been pivotal to the growth of our offering.

“The team’s evolving skills, aligned with its high quality service delivery has attracted a number of large and dynamic businesses which in addition to our existing client base require additional support.”

In addition to Jon’s appointment, Thaynara Charlesworth, a highly skilled and regarded lawyer who has been at Raworths for six years, has been appointed to Senior Associate, whilst Damini Sharma has been recruited as a junior solicitor, bringing further depth to the team.

Jon Healey, Head of Corporate said: “ I’m delighted to have been given this opportunity.  The increasing volume and complexity of the work we are undertaking has been managed tremendously well by the team, especially given the wider context of the last year’s events, and I’m extremely optimistic about the opportunities for the future. I would like to congratulate Thaynara, who has been promoted to Senior Associate in recognition of her dedication, expertise and skilled delivery of advice and welcome Damini, who joined the team earlier this year.”

Simon continues: “There has been a significant step change in terms of the capability and capacity of the Corporate team, which now comprises six dedicated and experienced fee earners. Raworths is committed to nurturing our employees’ development and talent which ensures we are well positioned for the future to meet the needs of our clients. The promotions of Jon and Thaynara are well deserved and recognise the value and dedication each individual has brought to the firm.”

The Corporate team at Raworths works with a broad range of regional, national and international businesses as well as the entrepreneurs and investors behind those businesses. The expert team focuses on building long term relationships with clients to become trusted advisers and to deliver comprehensive, pragmatic and high quality advice.
