Raworths Solicitors has announced the senior appointment of Ann Laverty as its head of property. A new position for the firm, the role comes as part of a drive to deliver an enhanced offering by bringing both the residential and commercial property services into one division.

The firm, which is one of the biggest in Harrogate, distinguishes itself by offering both commercial and private client services and this is particularly the case in relation to property work. The move is expected to strengthen the trusted firm’s offering by providing a more efficient and intuitive service for clients whilst providing a platform for growth.

Zoe Robinson, managing partner at Raworths said: “Ann’s appointment and the linking of both property units illustrates our commitment to our clients. We are striving to offer a seamless, comprehensive property service that can meet the most diverse portfolio.

“This move will ensure we are delivering the very best advice with the best team. Importantly by having one focused department we can deliver a seamless and consistent service whilst offering great breadth of knowledge.”

Ann has experience of dealing with both residential and commercial property work and led a large team in her previous role at Lupton Fawcett where she was head of residential. Her industry knowledge is considerable and she can advise on a wide range of property related interests.

Her career to date has seen her represent landowners, developers, landed estates and rural businesses, in addition to universities, town and parish councils. She can advise on both traditional property transactions and more diverse interests, such as renewable energy projects, sporting rights and mineral exploitation.

Ann Laverty, head of property commented: “This role represents a great opportunity for me. Raworths has an excellent and trusted reputation and this new property structure will enhance clients’ experience, providing them with a comprehensive, more agile service.”

Zoe concluded: “Ann will be a great asset to Raworths and we are delighted to have her on board. Her experience is perfectly aligned to our existing property business and her skills will complement our current team’s skills and experience.”
