A rare opportunity to see one of the UK’s most prestigious jazz artists, Courtney Pine CBE, took place on 14 June at the Northern Aldborough Festival. The performance was sponsored by Raworths who are committed to being ambassadors within their local community and passionate supporters of the arts. The sell-out event was held at St Andrew’s Church, Aldborough.
Courtney Pine took to the stage with his bass clarinet and was accompanied by the much-celebrated Zoe Rahman on piano, delivering a sublime performance to a packed audience. The evening’s concert was followed by further entertainment in The Shed, the festival’s after-party venue.
Raworths’continued link with the ten-day event in recent years supports Northern Aldborough Festival’s key objective which is to bring exceptional music to intimate, rural venues where it would not normally be heard.
