Why do clients keep coming back to you?

I think it is important to take an interest in not only the client but the clients business. I enjoy site visits and meeting clients at their own premises, I believe most clients appreciate this.

As I undertake more transactions for clients it becomes easier as the more work you do the more you understand the clients needs.

Where does golf fit in?

I enjoy meeting clients and contacts in a non-work environment, I think this helps build relationships with both clients and intermediaries. Occasionally it is nice to enter a golf competition with a client and play a competitive round as a team. I am a member at RuddingPark but also enjoy the variety of playing other courses.

Does Distance matter? How far away was the most distant property you dealt with?

Time does not usually allow site visits in every transaction, however if the property is local I do try and arrange a site visit at some point during the transaction as there is usually a benefit in doing so. I have dealt with property transactions from Newcastle to Plymouth, and most points in between!

Do you prefer Leasehold or Freehold work?

I don’t really have a preference as I enjoy doing a variety of different types of work. I think it is helpful not to do one type of work as dealing with a variety keeps you more open minded and flexible.
