Kate Maybury, Senior Associate at Raworths, solicitors in Harrogate, has been appointed the new President of the Harrogate and District Law Society.
During the 12-month period, Kate, a specialist in Trusts Wills and Estates, will be the representative for the district’s legal profession, overseeing items such as training and education as well as communicating on members’ behalf’s.
Speaking of her appointment Kate said, “I am delighted to accept this prestigious position and look forward to supporting the profession in the Harrogate District over the coming year.”
The Harrogate and District Law Society has existed for over 100 years and the Harrogate District currently has over 350 solicitors, a figure which continues to grow in line with the area’s considerable legal presence.
Kate continued: “This district’s legal fraternity continues to thrive and accommodates high calibre firms and individuals who enjoy a significant regional and national presence.”
Kate has worked at Raworths since 2011, she is a Member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and founder and former chair of Probate Group at Sheffield Law Society.
