Shareholdings & Partnerships

In any business involving more than one owner there are fundamental issues surrounding the relationship between the owners that need to be addressed. Such issues include the running of the business and the various circumstances that may arise in the course of that business (such as an owner wishing to leave the business).

These issues are usually dealt with by way of a formal arrangement between the owners of the business which will take the form of either a shareholders agreement, partnership agreement or members agreement, depending on the structure of the business (company, partnership or LLP respectively).
