Solicitors and Recruitment Firm Combine in Employment Seminar

Raworths LLP, Harrogate’s leading firm of solicitors, is combining with Reed Global, one of the world leaders in specialist recruitment to provide a seminar for businesses on the forthcoming changes in legislation on Agency Workers regulations.

In October 2011, Agency Workers Regulations come into force in the UK, granting equal treatment to agency workers who have completed a 12-week qualifying period to those of other employees. This means that businesses with agency workers will need to understand the impact of these regulations on their organisations.

The seminar will take place on Thursday 12th May at 8.00am at Raworths’ head office on Station Parade and the speakers will be Deborah Boylan, partner and head of the Employment Unit at Raworths and an accredited mediator, and Rebecca Clacy-Jones, Project Manager at Reed’s for the Agency Workers Regulations. The seminar will be run as interactive workshop to help employers devise and implement an action plan specifically for their business.

Reed is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions, as well as IT and HR consulting and operates in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, with over 3,000 permanent employees working out of 350 offices across 30 specialisms. Raworths LLP is Harrogate’s largest firm of solicitors with 14 partners and 26 solicitors with specialisms in corporate and commercial work, commercial property and litigation, dispute resolution, mediation and employment as well as residential property, probate, wills and trusts and family law.
