Raworths’ partners Deborah Boylan, Christopher Butterworth and Zoë Robinson
The expertise of Harrogate solicitors Raworths LLP has been enhanced by further qualifications of two of their partners, Deborah Boylan and Zoë Robinson in Dispute Resolution.
Deborah Boylan has been accredited as a Civil and Commercial Mediator following a five-day advanced mediation skills course in Barcelona run by the leader in the field of mediation, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). The delegates came from as far afield as Mongolia and included a High Court Judge. Deborah is head of the Employment Unit at Raworths and regards mediation as a key tool in the resolution of many employment-related disputes.
‘The importance of non-judicial dispute resolution methods, as an alternative to traditional litigation, continues to grow steadily and internationally. The use of mediation in employment disputes has been greatly encouraged by Government and will enable us to offer our clients a level of expertise second to none in this area.’
Zoë Robinson, who is already an experienced Family Mediator, has recently completed a residential course qualifying her in "Collaborative Law" to widen further her skills so that she can represent clients using this relatively new process, which precludes the use of court proceedings. “Collaborative Law is another non-judicial form of dispute resolution process which is steadily gaining the favour of those going through the trauma of a relationship breakdown.”
