Law Firm Props Up Bar at Festival

Raworths, the Harrogate law firm, will be pulling pints of their own beer as part of the 20th Harrogate Beer Festival which runs from Thursday 25th February to Saturday 27th February at the Harrogate International Centre.

The Raworths beer, Premier Crew, has been brewed by Craig Witty, head brewer at Daleside Brewery in Harrogate. The idea to brew a special beer for Raworths LLP came from corporate partner Simon Morris, who, as part of the Harrogate and District Round Table, is involved in the organisation of the Beer Festival. ‘We have been one of the sponsors of the Beer Festival for the last four years and this has included our staff helping to pull pints at the event. We thought that this year we would go one step further and have our own bespoke brew, and the team at Daleside Breweries have done a brilliant job in making this possible.’

Raworths’ Premier Crew is described by Craig Witty as ‘a light, crisp, hoppy beer with a refreshing taste and lingering citrusy flavour’ and it will be one of about 30 beers and ciders available to taste at the three-day Festival. Harrogate and District Round Table, which organises the Festival, raised over £30,000 for local charities last year through the event which was supported by over 4,000 people.

Each year, a number of local charities are chosen to benefit from the Festival. This year, the charities include Springwater School, the Harrogate Society for the Blind, Macmillan Nurses, the Army Benevolent Fund, Mind and Harrogate Youth Theatre.

Tickets for the Festival are available from the International Centre in advance by calling 0845 130 8840 and cost £10.00. Doors open at 6.30pm each evening.
